Weekly update
Hiii all!
Iāve missed a few updates but decided to switch to weekly recaps so I can give you better, more detailed news. Iāve been super busy working on the first piece of my AI Infrastructure Series (;Mapping the AI Machine: An Inside Look at the Modern Supply Chain), which will drop soon! The piece will dive into the critical raw materials for AI, starting with silicon, the backbone of GPUs. The article will follow siliconās journey from quartzite to microchip production. Stay tunedāIām so excited to share it with you soon!
Iām also introducing a Referral Program, and I hope some of you might share it with others!

But first, letās dive into the hottest news of the past week. Hereās what you need to know:
š¦ Donald Trump Returns: Tech World Brace Yourself!
Donald Trump is officially back as the 47th president of the United States, and itās already looking like his second term will have a big impact on tech. Here are the key areas to watch:
Tariffs: Possible higher costs for tech products due to renewed trade tensions with China.
H-1B Visas: Tighter immigration policies could make it harder for tech firms to hire international talent.
Section 230: Changes to this liability shield might shake up how platforms moderate content.
AI Chip Exports: Stricter controls could affect the global AI race.
TikTok Saga: Trump might revive efforts to ban TikTokāor postpone them altogether.

And hereās a curveball: Trump and Melania launched meme coins, $TRUMP and $MELANIA, which sent the crypto world into a frenzy. Prices soared (and stabilized), leaving Bitcoin and Ethereum shaken as hype and cash flowed toward these coins. Love it or hate it, the Trump coins are dominating headlines and reshaping the crypto conversation.
šļø AIās Tiny Protein Switches: A Medical Game-Changer
Scientists at EPFL have achieved something extraordinary: theyāve taught AI to create tiny protein "switches" that act like on/off buttons for cell processes. These could enable smarter, more targeted therapiesāthink cancer treatments that activate only when needed. Itās a major step toward safer, more precise medicine.
𧬠OpenAIās New Frontier: Engineering Proteins for Stem Cells
OpenAIās latest creation, GPT-4b micro, is revolutionizing stem cell research. The AI is designing proteins that are 50 times more effective than those created by humans. This breakthrough could accelerate anti-aging research and push us closer to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). OpenAI is no longer just shaping languageāitās reshaping biology.

š¬ AI-Powered Nanostructures: The Future of Computing?
At Graz University of Technology, researchers are using AI to autonomously build nanostructures with extreme precision. The goal? Molecular-scale logic circuits that could be the foundation for next-gen quantum computing. AI is making science-fiction-level tech real.

š Metaās Translator: Your Personal Babel Fish
Metaās SEAMLESSM4T AI is here to bridge the language gap. This model translates speech in 101 languages directly into 36 others without turning it into text first. Itās 23% more accurate than existing systems and could change the way the world communicates.
š¬š§ UKās Ā£14B Bet on AI
The UK has unveiled a massive £14 billion AI strategy. Highlights include:
AI Growth Zones: Boosting infrastructure and streamlining regulations.
National Data Library: Opening up public data for AI research.
A New Supercomputer: Details are under wraps, but itās coming.
With private investments topping ā¬16.3 billion, this bold plan positions the UK as a leader in the global AI race.
Thatās it for this week! I hope youāre as excited as I am about all these tech and AI advancements. Keep an eye out for my AI Infrastructure Series: Raw Materials - The Silicon Supply Chain in the coming days. Until next time, stay curious and stay awesome! š
